• 1960: Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge opened in Nashville. Mom’s was the original name; Tootsie Bess bought Mom’s in 1960.
• 1994: NEAL MCCOY scored his first number one with No Doubt About It.
• 2007: BILLY RAY CYRUS was told by a judge on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars he looked “like a crazy bear lost in a swamp.”
• 2010: THE ZAC BROWN BAND and Jimmy Buffett collaborated on Margaritaville, Chicken Fried and Toes as a new episode of CMT Crossroads premiered.
• 2012: JOSH TURNER filled in for Kathie Lee Gifford as a guest co-host on NBC’s Today.
• 2014: The Academy of Country Music announced plans to air the ACM Awards in Australia for the first time. Additionally, the ACM revealed that Australian voters would have a say in the Entertainer of the Year category along with fans in the U.S.
• 2018: GARTH BROOKS uses his weekly Facebook Live chat to voice support for the March For Our Lives demonstration and for Emma Gonzalez, who became a leader in the anti-NRA movement.

BROOKS & DUNN, RAY STEVENS and JERRY BRADLEY are the newest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame and will be inducted in October.
… BROOKS & DUNN have sold nearly 30 million albums and have won countless awards.
… RAY STEVENS has been performing for more than 40 years with his best known hits including The Streak and Everything Is Beautiful.
… JERRY BRADLEY: President of RCA Records from 1973-1982, he signed ALABAMA to the label, orchestrated the career of RONNIE MILSAP, and engineered the pop crossover successes of DOLLY PARTON and JERRY REED.
MAREN MORRIS’ sophomore album, Girl, debuts at No. 1 on the Country Albums chart and No. 4 on the all formats album chart. The album is the best debut by a female country artist in five months, when CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s Cry Pretty debuted at No. 1.
GEORGE STRAIT broke his own attendance record at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Sunday, March 17 with 80,108 fans in attendance. This was George’s 30th year of playing the event.
TIM MCGRAW will play a free outdoor concert April 26 on Lower Broadway in Nashville as part of the festivities surrounding the 2019 NFL Draft.
Through limited sales opportunities, GARTH BROOKS’ The Legacy Recordings boxed set on vinyl has sold 34,200 copies. The seven album collection will ship to the public on November 1 with Garth fans having limited opportunities between now and then to pre-order.
EASTON CORBIN will serve as the opener for GARTH BROOKS’ stadium show March 23 in Glendale, Arizona.
BILLY RAY CYRUS will release his new studio album, titled The SnakeDoctor Circus. No release date is known.
GARTH BROOKS says his favorite ’90s country song is DEANA CARTER’s Strawberry Wine. Garth says Deana “knocked it out of the park.”
LOCASH will perform their latest, Feels Like A Party, March 29 on ABC’s Good Morning America, the same day their new album Brothers is released.
KELLIE PICKLER’s Hallmark Channel movie Christmas At Graceland is getting a sequel. Wedding At Graceland will start filming in April and will air on the network in June. The sequel will see Kellie’s character Laurel walking down the aisle with her love interest, Clay. A third movie will air in December.
DYLAN SCOTT is going to be a daddy again. Baby number two is on the way for Dylan and his wife Blair. The couple have a son, named Beckett, who is 15 months old. The new baby is due in September.
