Sidney Crosby Has a Concussion

The Penguins open up their season on Thursday when Compliance Staffing Agency presents the Pittsburgh Penguins on Rocky 96.5. Unfortunately, we received some really bad news yesterday when, three days before the season is set to begin, Sidney Crosby was diagnosed with a concussion. Crosby and Coach Mike Sullivan have said the concussion occurred on Friday at practice. To say this is bad news is actually a pretty large understatement. Crosby has been playing some of the best hockey of his career lately, evinced by winning the Stanley Cup Championship, Conn Smythe Trophy, and the MVP of the recent World Cup of Hockey tournament. Sid was back on the ice, practicing this morning with the team, but no timetable is set for his return. Luckily for the Penguins, its just the beginning of a long, 82-game schedule, and they do have 17 other players who just won a cup and are thirsty to drink from another. Don’t forget, you can hear your Stanley Cup Champion Pens all season long when Compliance Staffing Agency Presents the Pittsburgh Penguins on Rocky 96.5.
