Pens Vs. Caps – Game 1 Recap

After all the hype, Game 1 of the second round Stanley Cup Playoff series lived up to the billing, with a thrilling Penguin’s victory. If Game 1 is any indication, make sure you have your heart medication readily available for the duration of this series, because the Caps and Pens are going to fight until the final seconds of each game. Sidney Crosby opened up the scoring for the Pens at the opening of the second period, with two goals in 64 seconds. But the Capitals were resilient, shooting the puck as often as they could, which resulted in a tie game midway through the third. But Nick Bonino’s breakaway goal with seven and a half minutes left in the third gave the Penguins the lead for good.
