Penguins Vs. Hurricanes – January 23

After a 1-2 road trip out west, the Pens return home to PPG Paints Arena tonight to take on the Carolina Hurricanes. The Pens have yet to win in either of their two meetings against the Canes this season, losing in Carolina 2-1 and then at home 4-0. Matt Murray has rejoined the team after the passing of his father, though Casey DeSmith was solid in net over the last two games. The Pens need to stay ahead of Carolina in the standings to ensure they have the chance to defend their Stanley Cup title in the playoffs.
