Here’s a lesson that I learned the hard way. If you have an external hard drive…..make sure to back it up periodically. Because I had an external hard drive die last night after a power outage. That hard drive just happened to house all of my digital music. We’re talking 30,000 songs. Gone. I do have the majority of them backed up, but I still lost a lot of music that I’ll never even remember that I owned. You may say, “But Max, just subscribe to a music streaming service, there’s a ton of them out now.” Sure those music subscription services give you access to many thousands more songs than what I already had. But if you quit subscribing you lose all that music, and I really don’t feel like giving a streaming service seven bucks every month for the rest of my life to keep listening.
