Avalanche 6 – Penguins 3

Sidney Crosby made his finest Herculean effort to get a win last night against the Colorado Avalanche. But unfortunately, Sid’s natural hat trick in just over five and a half minutes didn’t translate into a win for the Penguins. The Avalanche broke the 3-3 tie in the third and went on to score two empty net goals for a 6-3 final. So the Penguins return home this Saturday night to take on their arch-rival Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers are now the cellar dwellers in the Eastern Conference, a title the Penguins held themselves just a week ago. It’s Pens and Flyers from PPG Paints Arena this Saturday on Rocky 96.5!
