Penguins Vs. Panthers – Jan. 8

After their 8-game winning streak was broken against Chicago on Sunday, the Penguins have a chance to start another stretch of W’s against the Florida Panthers tonight at PPG Paints Arena. The Panthers have gained a bit of footing as of late, going 6-3-1 in their last ten, including an OT loss to Columbus on Saturday. Although the Penguins were out of the playoff picture in November, they’ve now climbed within two points of the first place Capitals in the Metropolitan Division. Tonight’s game is the final home game for the Pens in quite some time. Starting tomorrow, they’ll hit the road for a West Coast swing before their bye week begins and the all-star festivities ensue, meaning the Pens won’t play on home ice again until Jan. 28.
