General Manager Jim Rutherford made a late night acquisition this morning, trading forward Derek Grant back to the Anaheim Ducks for forward Joseph Blandisi. Grant, who was signed by the Penguins last summer, was a free agent from Anaheim when the Pens inked him to a new deal. Blandisi has played 74 NHL games in his career with eight goals and 18 assists during his time at the highest level. He may have only scored eight goals, but those he has scored are some pretty spectacular ones. He was with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL,but he joined the Pens today in Arizona ahead of tomorrow night’s match up with the Coyotes. Listen to all the action on Rocky 96.5!
