Penguins Clinch Playoff Spot

The Penguins clinched a playoff berth last night, beating the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 in Pittsburgh. This will mark the 13th year in a row that the Pens have been in the postseason, the longest active streak in the NHL. Phil Kessel seems to be coming alive. He scored twice last night to give him 3 goals in the last 2 games, ending a long scoring drought. The Pens will have to win against the Rangers on Saturday to secure the 3-seed in the Metropolitan Division and lock up a first round playoff series against the Islanders.
