IIHF World Hockey Championship

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are still in full swing, but, unfortunately, the Penguins haven’t been playing in them for almost a month. However, the IIHF World Hockey Championship is starting on Friday and there are a few Penguins that will be in the mix when the tournament commences in Slovakia. Teddy Blueger is playing for Latvia, Patric Hornqvist and Marcus Pettersson are representing Sweden, of course Evgeni Malkin will be on Mother Russia’s team, Matt Murray and Jared McCann will play for Team Canada, and Dominik Simon will play for the Czech Republic. The IIHF World Championship runs this month from May 10-26.
