Penguins General Manager Jim Rutherford will be permanently enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto after being elected to the museum as an executive. The Hockey Hall Class was announced yesterday and Rutherford was among the inductees as the architect of three Stanley Cup Champion teams. Rutherford constructed winning teams for two different franchises including the Penguins in 2016 and 2017 and the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006. Guy Carbonneau, Vaclav Nedomansky, Hayley Wickenheiser, and Sergei Zubov were also elected as players and Jerry York joined Rutherford as one of the builders. Now its time for Rutherford to continue his Hall of Fame ways as a GM when Free Agency begins for the NHL on July 1. Listen to the Pens this fall on Rocky 96.5!
