• 1968: The first Country Music Association Awards to be televised aired and was hosted by ROY ROGERS and DALE EVANS. The show was taped a month earlier at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
• 2000: The DIXIE CHICKS’ first NBC special aired. It included performance footage from their Fly tour in Washington, D.C., plus comedy skits.
• 2003: TOBY KEITH’s album Shock’n Y’all spent its second week at the top of the country albums chart after selling 227,000 copies. It had sold over 600,000 copies its first week of release.
• 2008: BLAKE SHELTON landed on People magazine’s list of the World’s Sexiest Men. Hugh Jackman topped the list.
• 2015: TRISHA YEARWOOD flipped the switch at Graceland Mansion in Memphis, lighting blue Christmas lights at Elvis Presley’s former home.
• 2017: DOLLY PARTON ranked six when Forbes listed the highest-paid women in music, after a year in which she earned $37 million.
DIERKS BENTLEY is 44. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona.
JOSH TURNER is 42. He was born in Hannah, South Carolina.

LUKE COMBS’ Even Though I’m Leaving is his seventh consecutive number one (Billboard Country Airplay). Luke is the first country artist to see each of his first seven singles hit the top of the charts.
LUKE BRYAN has finalized the lineup for his 6th Annual Crash My Playa in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Luke will headline two nights of the January 22-25 event with JASON ALDEAN headlining a night and OLD DOMINION headlining the other. Others on the bill for this year’s event include LEE BRICE, SCOTTY MCCREERY, GRANGER SMITH, JORDAN DAVIS, CAYLEE HAMMACK and DUSTIN LYNCH.
JASON ALDEAN will do a special 9 at 9 concert on November 27 that will air in select bars and on YouTube. Filmed at Jason’s own Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, the set is in conjunction with the release of Jason’s ninth studio album, 9, which comes out Friday.
JORDAN DAVIS and wife Kristen are parents of a baby girl, Eloise Larkin Davis, born on Sunday (November 17). She is the couple’s first child.
CHRIS STAPLETON and KELLY CLARKSON will be part of the Trolls World Tour movie soundtrack, due out in March. Others n the album will include Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige and Anna Kendrick.
KENNY ROGERS’ 2017 concert in London as part of The Gambler’s Last Deal Tour will be released on DVD and CD on December 13. In addition to the concert, there are also interviews and footage of Kenny from across his career.
MATT STELL (Prayed For You) will head out on the Everywhere But On Tour January 24 in San Diego. Dates run through the end of March with special guests CHRIS BANDY and RAY FULCHER, who wrote several songs for LUKE COMBS’ debut album, This One’s For You.
