• 1976: EDDIE RABBITT scored his first number one hit with Drinkin’ My Baby (Off My Mind).
• 1996: SHANIA TWAIN’s album The Woman In Me was certified multi-platinum for sales of 5 million copies. Hits included Noone Needs To Know, the title track and If You’re Not In It For Love.
• 2002: JEFF CARSON was seriously injured while sledding with his wife on their property in Franklin, Tennessee. While taking a solo run, he hit a tree head on and broke a vertebra.
• 2006: TIM MCGRAW and FAITH HILL gave their first televised interview together when they appeared on Oprah.
• 2015: GARTH BROOKS’ daughter, Taylor Brooks, had her 2003 GMC Sierra pickup stolen.
• 2016: Gwen Stefani was the centerpiece of a live ad shot and aired by Target on Fox during the Super Bowl. It included a neon bar sign that read “Blake’s,” a nod to boyfriend BLAKE SHELTON.

KANE BROWN will play in the 2020 NBA Celebrity All Star Game February 14 (ESPN).
SHANIA TWAIN has added 14 dates to her Let’s Go residency in Las Vegas. The new shows are in August, September, and December.
KENNY CHESNEY’s next single will be called Here And Now and will be a reminder to focus on the present. The tune should be out in a couple weeks and will be included on his upcoming album that’s likely to be released in late spring.
WILLIE NELSON and HANK WILLIAMS JR. will headline the inaugural Born & Raised Festival June 6-7 in Pryor, Oklahoma. The event celebrates Outlaw, Red Dirt and Texas music. Others performing will include JAMEY JOHNSON, JACK INGRAM, SHOOTER JENNINGS, MARGO PRICE, and ELIZABETH COOK.
GABBY BARRETT (I Hope), who finished third in Season 16 of American Idol, says CARRIE UNDERWOOD offered her some great advice and encouragement, telling her to work hard every day and make time for songwriting even on the road.
MATT STELL played a pop-up show this week at DIERKS BENTLEY’s Whiskey Row for his newly created Give A Damn Foundation, where he raised $150,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The Country Music Association has revealed plans for the Introducing Nashville international tour to visit Australia, New Zealand, and Japan this spring. MITCHELL TENPENNY, CASSADEE POPE, NIKO MOON and ABBY ANDERSON will perform acoustically in-the-round and talk about their songs.
