KENNY CHESNEY has re-scheduled 19 stadium dates for 2021. Those shows on his Chillaxification Tour will include openers FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE and OLD DOMINION. The shows in Houston and San Antonio were unable to be rescheduled and so ticket-holders will receive a full refund. Those with tickets to re-scheduled shows can request a refund within the next 30 days at point of purchase.

… Kenny said, “So much goes into the stadium shows, people have no idea. Take all of that, then factor in all the other issues that come with rescheduling, making sure there aren’t conflicts with baseball or other events nearby — and maintain the kind of quality we want to bring. There were so many questions, so many unknowns, but I believe music makes a difference in people’s lives, so everyone on my team, the promoter’s team and all of the people we deal with have worked overtime trying to get this sorted out.”

LUKE BRYAN will host CMA Best Fest, a three hour ABC special airing July 9. More than two dozen country artists will perform with highlights from past CMA Music Fest shows. Luke and DARIUS RUCKER will also perform together during the special.

JIMMIE ALLEN and LINDSAY ELL will host a multi-hour live stream called CMA Summer Stay-cay, July 1 on the CMA’s Facebook and YouTube channels. More than 50 artists will perform, do Q & A sessions, play games and more for the event.

CARLY PEARCE and LEE BRICE’s collaboration, I Hope You’re Happy Now, the country chart (Mediabase) this week. It’s Carly’s second number one and Lee’s seventh.

SCOTTY McCREERY will perform a remote concert tomorrow (Wednesday) on Nashville’s Acme Radio Live to benefit the Keep The Music Foundation. Multiple artists are doing shows for the cause from various venues in Nashville.

There are people who want to replace Confederate statues with monuments of DOLLY PARTON. A Dolly fan named Alex Parsons started the petition on Change.org to remove all statues commemorating Confederate figures in Tennessee and replace them with ones of the Tennessee native. • LINK

… Alex cites Dolly as a “true Tennessee hero,” referring to her revered songs and multiple philanthropic efforts like Imagination Library that provides books to children in need. The petition has an overall goal of 15,000 signatures.

LAUREN ALAINA, TERRI CLARK and MICKEY GUYTON have joined the lineup for the 2020 Concert For Love and Acceptance, which will air remotely on June 30 from Nashville. TY HERNDON and TANYA TUCKER will also perform during the event, which will stream on Facebook, YouTube and the event’s website.

CLINT BLACK and DARIUS RUCKER will play the Grand Ole Opry on June 20 as part of the Opry’s 4,929 consecutive Saturday night show. The show will air on 650 WSM, the Circle television network, and the Opry’s social channels. The Opry has run without an audience since late March.

JOSH ABBOTT BAND frontman Josh Abbott and wife Taylor have welcomed their second child, son Luck David Abbott, born June 10. The couple have a three-year-old daughter.

TANYA TUCKER, THE HIGHWOMEN and BRANDI CARLILE are among the artists with multiple nominees for the 2020 Americana Music Awards, set to take place September 16 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
