Van Halens Searching for Rare Material

It’s only been a few days since Eddie Van Halen was taken from us, but the idea that we may one day hear new material from the guitar God is soothing the pain, however slightly. In an interview with the website Pollstar, Van Halen manager Irving Azoff said that Eddie’s brother Alex and son Wolf will search through the archives at 5150 studios inside Eddie’s home for any possible outtakes or yet-to-surface material from the musician’s lengthy and legendary career. While there’s a possibility the two surviving Van Halens won’t find anything useable, the thought of unearthed material from one of the greatest guitarists of all time seeing the light of day is enough to get anyone excited. We’ll just have to wait and hope.
