Roger Water released a video this weekend stating that a new mix of Pink Floyd’s 1977 album Animals was completed in 2018 and will soon see the light of day. Waters candidly stated that the reason its been shelved until now was because of a dispute about the liner notes. Waters was in favor of adding “sleeve notes” where Dave Gilmour was not. Waters relented and now the album will finally hit shelves sometime soon. Although the dissection of the album won’t be included in the actual packaging, Roger released them on his YouTube channel within the aforementioned announcement video. He made no mention of an actual date for the remix, but added that a memoir is also soon to be arriving, having been written as a result of downtime during the pandemic.
